Piercing Service Valves Refrigerator Refill Tap 1/4 5/16 3/8inch Pipes

These valves can be used to repair and refill air conditioning unit, refrigerator, or freezer appliance that has no service valves. Simply attach the valve over the low-pressure line before the compressor and fill it up with gas using refrigerant manifold gauge set with a 1/4 inch hose connector. The valves can be attached to 1/4-inch, 5/16-inch, 3/8-inch outside diameter aluminum or copper refrigerant lines. The valves are made of corrosion resistant material that won’t rust over time.

Easy to install:

Clean off the copper pipe with an abrasive cloth or a wire brush to remove any debris
Back up the piercing needle valve screw, so that the piercing needle is flush with the shell
Remove the clamp bolts and place a small amount of PAG oil over the O-ring, this step is recommended
Use the spacer plates if need to space out the thickness of the tube
Attach the valve to the smoothest part of the copper pipe, use clamp bolts to secure the valve to the line
Tight the needle bolt to pierce the line and back up the bolt to open the path to the valve
After fill-up tight the needle bolt to seal the valve and the line

Please note:

This product is not compatible with R-410A systems due to excessive pressure of that refrigerant
Please always use eyewear and gloves when working with pressurized systems or refrigerant
